Test for Active Infection: If you suspect that you may have COVID-19 or currently have symptoms and would like to get a test, please schedule a Virtual Visit and talk with one of our Marque Medical Providers to get a test order. The medical provider will evaluate current symptoms, assess your exposure risk, and answer any questions you have. Copays and deductibles will apply to virtual visits. We need your help in determining if your symptoms are COVID-19 related, and if now is the best time to get tested.
If you currently have symptoms of COVID-19 for more than 3 days, we advise to get either a rapid COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test with same-day results, or a PCR COVID-19 test that is sent to a third-party lab. If you want to use your health insurance to cover testing, you will need to ask for a COVID test that is sent to the lab. Lab-sent results are typically back within 2-5 days, depending on outside lab volume. We will call you with results when they come back from the lab.
If you have had close contact with a COVID-19 infected person, we recommend the following:
If your exposure was less than 3 days ago:
Go home and quarantine until the virus can be accurately detected on a
COVID-19 test, usually between 3-5 days after exposure. Testing too
soon may lead to false negative test results regardless of the testing
method, and may cause you to infect others.
If symptoms develop, it’s recommended to get a COVID-19 test. Either a
rapid PCR or rapid Antigen test, or a lab send-out PCR test.
If you do not develop symptoms 3-5 days after an exposure, but you still want to make sure you are not infected, it is recommended to get a COVID test. Either a rapid PCR or rapid Antigen test, or a lab send-out PCR test .OR You may test now, though we recommend you repeat a test after 5 days of post-exposure for the most accurate results.
Antibody Testing for Previous Infection: You do not need a Marque Medical Provider order to get an antibody test. If you do not have any current COVID-19 symptoms, you can get an antibody test at all Marque testing facilities. Click here to make a reservation for an antibody test. Reservations are never required but can help with wait times.
COVID-19 Related Visits for Symptoms or Known Exposure: Your deductible or copayment will be collected prior to your visit. If your insurance company participates in cost-share waiving for COVID-19 related visits, you may request a reimbursement from your health insurance after your visit. If you are not experiencing symptoms or have known exposure, please note that elective COVID-19 testing will not be submitted to insurance.
Non-COVID Related Services: Applicable deductibles and copayments will also be collected before your visit. A request for payment will be sent by email and/or text message before your reservation time. Please have your payment information ready, as timely payment is required to hold your spot in line. For more information about your healthcare plan and benefits, please contact your insurance carrier in advance.

Lab results will be emailed to the email address that is on file once they become available. Results will be emailed as a .zip file and most cannot be opened on a iPhone or iPad and most likely will need to be opened on a desktop computer. Results on the .zip file are password protected and the password should be the patient’s date of birth in this format: MMDDYY. Yes, you can be tested for COVID-19 even if you are not experiencing any current symptoms. It is based on the clinical findings and assessment by the Marque Medical Provider.
Yes. We offer two on-site rapid tests. To get a referral for a rapid test, complete a Virtual Visit, or come to a Marque Urgent Care clinic during posted testing hours for an evaluation and a test if deemed necessary.

Serum Antibody IgM/IgG (Blood Test): Rapid is a finger stick and lab-sent is a blood draw.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an illness caused by a virus that can spread from person to person. The virus that causes COVID-19 is a new coronavirus that has spread throughout the world.
You can become infected by coming into close contact with a person who has COVID-19. COVID-19 is primarily spread from person to person. You can become infected from respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks. You may also be able to get it by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it, and then by touching your mouth, eyes or nose.
- Frequently wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not present.
- Avoid touching your face, mouth, eyes, and nose.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
- Wear a cloth face covering when you’re unable to properly physically distance yourself from others (6 feet)
Patients with COVID-19 have had mild to severe symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath — similar to the flu. They’ve also experienced chills or shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and loss of sense of smell or taste. While information so far indicates that most cases are mild, symptoms appear to be more severe in the elderly and people with chronic conditions.

- Live in a long-term care facility
- Have an ongoing serious health condition, such as:
- Lung disease or asthma
- Heart conditions
- High blood pressure
- Severe obesity
- Diabetes
- Kidney or liver disease
- A weakened immune system
- Cancer treatment
- Smoke or vape
Molecular RT- PCR (diagnostic test for current infection): This test will detect if you are actively infected with the COVID-19 virus.
Serum Antibody IgM/IgG (blood test for previous infection): This test will detect if you have had prior exposure to COVID-19 and have built an antibody for the virus. For most viral illnesses, a positive antibody means prior exposure to a virus and some degree of immunity to future infection.
Yes. We offer antibody testing at all Marque facilities. You do not need an appointment or referral from a Medical provider. We do not bill insurance for antibody testing. There are two types of antibody testing.
- On-site Rapid Serum IgM/IgG*: Finger stick, 5-15 minute processing time with immediateresults reporting. Tests are $50. *FDA Authorized under EUA. Biohit SARS-Cov 2 IgM/IgG Antibody Test
- Lab-Sent Serum IgM/IgG: Blood draw, 1-5 days reporting of results depending on lab volume.Tests are $120.
Our tests are from a reputable company called Biohit. They have submitted their application to the FDA and have an EUA filing (Emergency Use Authorization). This means that the product has passed the FDA evidence of effectiveness test and is accurate. FDA approval takes a long time and the virus has only been with us since the beginning of the year. That is why there are very few FDA approved antibody tests as of now and they are issuing EUAs to allow products to be distributed if it meets their guidelines. The sensitivity of our rapid IgM/IgG antibody test is 97.5%, and the specificity is 99.5% in clinical studies. We have been running the rapid tests in parallel with our lab tests and we are reporting the same level of accuracy.
All Serology (Antibody) and Molecular/PCR tests are sent to our commercial lab partners. For serology, our lab partners use the Abbott Architect platform or the Siemens platform, both of which have FDA Emergency Use Authorization. For RT-PCR, our national lab partners use the Roche Cobas or PANTHER Hologic platform which also has FDA Emergency Use Authorization.
Positive: Stay home, separate yourself from others in your home, continue to monitor your symptoms and call 911 if you have an emergency. Click here for more detailed instructions if you do test positive.
Serum Antibody IgM/IgG (for previous infection): Regardless of your results, you should continue to exercise universal precautions such as social distancing, quarantining, frequent hand washing, wearing of a mask or face cloth in public, and other CDC guideline recommendations. Remember, COVID-19 is a new infection, and it is unclear if a positive antibody definitively offers immunity.
Requirements vary by destination. It is your responsibility to select the correct test type for your destination and to get tested at the proper time to get valid results. If you need to get a COVID-19 test for traveling purposes, a test referral is not required. Molecular (RT-PCR) Test and/or Antigen:
If you are actively experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as:
– Fever (100° or higher)
– Persistent cough
– Shortness of breath
– Body aches
– Loss of sense of smell or taste
– If you are a healthcare worker, first responder, or a Marque Urgent Care Occupational Medicine client.
– If you need a COVID-19 test for travel or surgery purposes
– If you were exposed or high-risk with exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 infected patient
Serum Antibody IgM/IgG (blood test for previous infection):
– If you previously had COVID-19 symptoms (fever, persistent cough, shortness of breath, body aches) and have recovered after 14 days.
– If you received a positive test result for COVID-19 and have recovered after 14 days.
– If you believe you have encountered someone who had the COVID-19 virus.
Non-vaccinated travelers: In accordance with Hawaii’s Pre-Travel COVID-19 Testing Program, the state will accept results from PCR/NAAT tests only, which Marque offers at all locations (Rapid-result antigen test results are not accepted). Also, results must be returned prior to departure from the U.S. mainland to Hawaii. Patient samples collected at our COVID-19 testing sites are sent offsite to independent, third-party labs (WestPacific Lab) that are responsible for processing the results. While turnaround times are 1-2 days on average, we cannot guarantee, prioritize or otherwise expedite results.
Vaccinated travelers: Effective July 8, the state of Hawaii will eliminate its pre-travel testing/quarantine requirement for domestic travelers to Hawaii who have been fully vaccinated in the United States. Vaccinated travelers to Hawaii must upload their CDC-issued record card to the state’s Safe Travels Program Website and have the card with them upon arrival in Hawaii.
Requirements vary, so be sure to check with your destination to make sure you’re tested at the right time before departing. Getting tested too early or too late, or getting the wrong type of test, may result in needing to self-quarantine at your destination.
Testing is included at no extra charge with certain cruise line bookings. You may be required to take as many as three tests for cruise. If a preliminary test is required, you can schedule at a Marque Urgent Care location. To see what tests are required for your cruise and to register if necessary, please visit your cruise line website or call them directly.

If you have received your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine somewhere other than Marque Urgent Care and would like to receive your second dose at our clinics, this is something you can do. Appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine are required.
Please do not show up at a clinic if you do not have an appointment for a vaccine. All appointments are required to go through MyTurn.CA.Gov.
